Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about booking Hajj and Umrah taxi transfers with Mashaer Fleet.
Booking & Payments
What information do I need to complete a booking?
You will need your pickup location (or airport and flight number), drop-off destination, travel date and time, number of passengers, and a contact email. Flight number is required for airport pickups so we can monitor delays.
What payment methods does Mashaer Fleet accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed securely through Stripe. All transactions are encrypted and we do not store your card details.
Can I modify or cancel my booking?
Yes. You can modify booking details or cancel through your dashboard account. Cancellations made sufficiently in advance receive a full refund. Please review our Terms of Service for the full cancellation policy and timelines.
Can I book for a group of pilgrims travelling together?
Yes. Select a minivan or full van during booking to accommodate larger groups. For groups of 7+ passengers, a full van is the most comfortable and cost-effective option. Multiple vehicles can also be booked simultaneously if your group is very large.
Will I receive confirmation after booking?
Yes. An email confirmation is sent immediately after payment. Your driver's name and contact number are sent closer to your travel date. You can also view all booking details in your Mashaer Fleet account dashboard.
Jeddah Airport Transfers
How much does a taxi from Jeddah Airport to Makkah cost?
Our fixed fares from King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah) to Makkah are shown transparently when you book. Prices vary by vehicle type — sedan, minivan, SUV, or wheelchair van. There are no hidden charges, no meters, and no surge pricing during Hajj or Ramadan. Visit our booking page to see the exact fare for your chosen vehicle.
How long does the taxi ride from Jeddah Airport to Makkah take?
The journey from Jeddah Airport (KAIA) to central Makkah covers approximately 90–110 km and typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours. During peak Hajj season and Friday prayers, traffic around the Haram can add extra time, so we recommend allowing 2 hours as a buffer.
What is the best way to get from Jeddah Airport to Makkah?
A pre-booked private taxi is the most reliable option. After a long international flight, having a driver waiting at arrivals with your name board means no queues, no negotiation, and no confusion. Public buses (SAPTCO) are cheaper but require extra waiting and are not door-to-door. For families, elderly pilgrims, or those with luggage, a private transfer is strongly recommended.
Can I book a Jeddah Airport to Makkah taxi from the UK or abroad?
Yes. Our online booking system accepts reservations from anywhere in the world. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with your driver details and a contact number. Many of our customers book from the UK, Pakistan, India, and Malaysia before they even land in Saudi Arabia.
Do you offer a meet-and-greet service at Jeddah Airport arrivals?
Yes — every airport transfer includes a complimentary meet-and-greet. Your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. They will assist with luggage and escort you directly to the vehicle. No searching for a taxi rank or haggling over fares.
Is there a cheaper alternative to a private taxi from Jeddah Airport to Makkah?
SAPTCO buses run between Jeddah Airport and Makkah at lower fares, but they are shared services with fixed schedules and limited luggage space. For groups of 3 or more pilgrims, splitting the cost of a private minivan often works out cheaper per person than SAPTCO while being far more comfortable and direct.
Madinah Airport Transfers
How much is a taxi from Madinah Airport to Masjid Nabawi?
Fixed fares from Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport (Madinah) to Masjid Nabawi and Haram-area hotels are displayed during booking. The price depends on vehicle type and is fixed with no hidden fees. Check our booking page for the exact current fare.
How far is Madinah Airport from Masjid Nabawi?
Madinah Airport is approximately 15–20 km from Masjid Nabawi. The taxi journey typically takes 25–40 minutes depending on traffic and your hotel's location within the Haram district.
How long does the taxi journey from Madinah Airport to the Haram area take?
Under normal traffic conditions the drive takes 25–35 minutes. During peak Hajj and Umrah seasons when the city is at full capacity, allow up to 60 minutes. We track your flight and your driver will be ready upon your arrival.
Can I book a wheelchair-accessible taxi from Madinah Airport?
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible vans are available for all Madinah Airport transfers. Select the wheelchair van option when booking online. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers with mobility needs and will help with boarding, seating, and luggage.
Is the Madinah Airport taxi service available 24 hours a day?
Yes. We operate around the clock, seven days a week, including for very early morning and late-night flights. Because pilgrimage schedules often involve unusual flight times, 24/7 availability is a core part of our service.
General Service Questions
Is Uber or Careem available in Makkah and Madinah for airport transfers?
Uber and Careem operate in some Saudi cities, but coverage around the Holy Sites in Makkah and Madinah is limited — and neither service can be pre-booked for airport meet-and-greet. Mashaer Fleet offers fully pre-booked private transfers: your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall with a name board when you land, regardless of the time.
What taxi services does Mashaer Fleet offer for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims?
We provide fixed-price private taxi transfers between Jeddah Airport, Makkah, Madinah, and surrounding cities. Our fleet includes sedans, SUVs, minivans, full vans, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles — all available 24/7 with professional English-speaking drivers who specialise in pilgrim transport.
Are your taxi fares fixed or do prices surge during Hajj and Ramadan?
Our fares are 100% fixed and agreed before you book. There is no meter, no surge pricing during peak seasons, and no hidden charges. The price shown at booking is exactly what you pay — even during the busiest days of Hajj and Ramadan.
Do you offer wheelchair-accessible taxi services in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. We operate purpose-fitted wheelchair-accessible vans specifically designed for elderly pilgrims and passengers with mobility needs. Wheelchair vehicles can be selected during online booking and are available across Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.
How far in advance should I book my Hajj or Umrah transfer?
We recommend booking at least 24–48 hours before your flight. During Hajj season and Ramadan, availability fills up weeks in advance, so early booking is strongly advised. You can book online from any country months ahead of your travel date.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We monitor live flight information and automatically adjust your pickup time to match your actual arrival. There is no extra charge for flight delays. Simply keep your booking reference — your driver will be updated and waiting for you.
